Suggestion for B's girl/LINDY
I remember a girl that was 16 years old whose mother ran off to live with a major drug dealer in another state. She was intelligent but not very savvy in the ways of the world. Fortunately for her though, God blesses her infinitely and continually to this day. So this girl is homeless? As in no home? Has to sleep on the street? And under 18? My good friend Erin Hannah may be able to help her or atleast to direct you and I in helping her. A little something was lost in the translation. Did her Dad kick her out of his house? Part of me wants to take this girl and give her a home and help her to start her life. I would like to meet and talk with her. Erin's # is 548-6470. She is a professional and knows way more than you and I about this stuff as it is a sad every day occurrence for her. The girl needs to call Erin and tell her what her situation is. Erin can help her with a plan of action and I can probably guide her in getting some government assistance if she has not done so already. A stolen piggy bank seems trivial compared to a homeless child and yes 17 is still such a precious age. There was definitely a heist and I am willing to ignore it in the sense that I will not mention it to her. It will be easy as she will be avoiding me and I have chosen to exclude her from my life. She is a troubled youth that I thought was a victim of circumstance. There may be more things missing but I only cared for this one. It wasn't about the money, I would have given her that much or more if she truly had the need. I think that she knew that, but I also think that she's was just a stupid kid. Who did not care that she just pissed on probably the only person that believed in her potential and would really be there for her. Actually I probably still would be there for her but I would never leave her alone with my children or anything I cared about. April, I am really not that nice. Just ask Kelly.
LINDY
She was beautiful, not that generic kind of pretty. She didn't have the right build for all the latest fashions. Mostly she wore what ever caught her eye at the thrift shop or the clothes her mother bought her because she was way too sweet to hurt her mothers feelings. Even though her mother hurt her feelings all the time. Lindy enjoyed seeing other people smile she would often give away her favorite things when she learned that other people admired them. Lindy loved children especially her little niece Lydia. Lindy would pretend that Lydia was her daughter. She could have had a daughter Lydia's age if she would not have let her mother convince her to have the abortion. Her mother said that her life would be better without the child, but that was just a lie. Lindy often thought of the child and in her mind the child aged and grew. She knew that she would have been a little girl exactly like Lydia. She told Lydia these things even though she was just a child. She knew that Lydia understood everything. They were best friends. Lindy enjoyed watching Lydia grow into a young woman but at the same time it saddened her that she was not a little girl any longer. One day Lindy and Lydia were walking home from the doughnut shop when a homeless man walked passed. Although he did not ask them for money. Lindy reached into her pocket and gave him the few dollars that she had. As they continued their trek Lindy expressed regret that she did not give the man the donuts they were carrying as well. This was not an uncommon thing for Lindy to do. Their was nothing extremely poignant about this incident but for some reason this is the one that Lydia would remember the most in the days and months and years after Lindy ceased to walk this earth. Lydia would want to remember all the times they road the horses bareback on the mountain trail or the days they ate lunch near the waterfall. Lydia wanted to remember watching Lindy slice strawberries and sprinkle sugar on them but whenever she thinks of Lindy she thinks of this day.
